They built a home on 5th Street near Clinton Street, close to the river directly behind what is now the Murphy's Inn.  It is not known how they selected St. Clair as their home away from Germany.

Frank and Tracey, as they became known, raised 9 children here.  Frank was a carpenter and also worked at Belnap Brick Yard.  Tracey was a housewife and sold her baked goods.  She also assisted the local women as a midwife.  The Family attended St. Mary's Catholic Church on 8th Street, where their children were baptized and some later married.
